Nā Lāʻau O Kukuihaʻa's long- term community goal is "A Healer in Every Home"

Immerse yourself in Hawaiian values and practices, becoming an exceptional healer and leader, spreading profound mana throughout your community. Join our next cohort to learn foundational practices of Native Hawaiian Healing Traditions.

Project Goal:

Establish a Hawaiian Healing Academy to increase the number of practitioners and instructors prepared to serve their community so that Native Hawaiians have access to traditional Hawaiian healing practices.

Community Condition:

Renewed interest in Hawaiian healing practices by our native Hawaiian community members; Survey resulted in 90 interested student level applicants and 17 apprentice level across six islands in the state of Hawaiʻi.

Outcomes

1. Increase proficiency in foundational traditional Hawaiian healing

2. Increase proficiency in advance traditional Hawaiian healing training

Keola Chan

Born and raised in Papakōlea, Keola Chan is the founder and Kumu Lapaʻau of Ka Pā o Lonopūhā, Academy of Native Hawaiian Healing Traditions. Having practiced Mauli Ola for over 25 years, he has graduated 56 Hawaiian healers contributing towards his vision of “A healer in every home.”
