Aloha!  My name is Ikaika.  I am Hawaiian, Chinese, Spanish and Filipino.  I was born and raised on the island of O’ahu.   As a young man, I always knew I wanted to help people but was never sure what that meant for me.   One day I met a woman from the island of Moloka’i. She was a nurse, a teacher and a practitioner of Hawaiian Lomilomi massage for 25 years.   I decided to take her massage class.  On the very first day, she told me I had good energy and strong hands and that I should do something with my innate ability to help others.  Because of her, I realized what I needed to do with my life.  When I told my mother what I had learned, she informed me that my grandmother too was a healer.  Soon thereafter, I enroll in massage school, where I learned more about myself, about how compassion and loving kindness help others heal, and about the importance of continually developing the “strong hands and good energy” my first teacher saw in me.  “Ho’opono” means “to make right.”  Whether you are a visitor or a kama’aina (local resident), I look forward to working with you and sharing the gift of healing!
